The Riverina Dance Festival celebrates the achievements and dance education programs of public schools across the Riverina.  The festival features students from Kindergarten to Year 12 providing an opportunity for students of all ages, dance backgrounds and abilities to showcase their creativity and performance skills in a professional venue.

The festival is held annually in rotating regional theatres in Albury, Griffith and Wagga Wagga to enable equity of access to all students across the Riverina.

Cost: Participation is free. Schools are responsible for supplying any relief, travel, meals and accommodation.

How to apply

Applications for the 2024 festival are now open! To nominate your school item,  please complete the online school nomination form 2024 by Friday 5 April  (Term 1 Week 10).

The Riverina Dance Festival always attracts more nominations than can be accommodated. Auditions are held via video submission to select items that best reflect the spirit of the K-12 dance syllabus.

A separate nomination form is required for each item a school is submitting for the audition.

Nominating schools will be advised of audition outcomes with the acceptance package by Friday 12 April 2024 (Term 1 Week 11).
