Kindergarten to Year 12

The Drama Festival celebrates classroom drama achievements of students in Kindergarten to Year 12. This event is a 2-day celebration of drama works showcasing strong drama outcomes in classrooms from across the state. Over 800 students participate in a range of dramatic styles.

Drama Festival 2024

The Drama Festival celebrates classroom drama achievements of students from Kindergarten to Year 12.  The Festival runs across 2 days – Thursday 24 October to Friday 25 October, with students participating from across the state.


Venue

Seymour Centre, Chippendale


Tickets

Tickets will go on sale through the Seymour Centre website prior to the event.

Workshops

Drama workshops led by professional practitioners will be available before and after the matinee performances during Drama Festival. Bookings for these workshops will be made available in Term 3, 2024.

School nominations

Schools can nominate any pieces that have not been presented in your local Area Drama Festival.  
Nominations will open in 2024.

$120.00 including GST per item.

Explore the State Drama Festival 2021 through the digital showcase and celebrate creativity, resilience and storytelling through drama in 2021.
Enjoy a combination of traditional, devised and original pieces and some brand new approaches in the form of our short film, physical theatre, monologues and puppetry ensembles who created their original works during remote learning.
