Operation Art is not just about exhibitions. Operation Art Professional Learning days help support and extend skills in teaching Visual Arts. Operation Art teacher professional learning days are held in regional and metropolitan centres throughout the year.
Operation Art Professional Learning
Teacher professional learning dates are advertised below. Please save the date of your nearest workshop and email your expressions of interest to email@example.com.
Teachers will spend a whole day making, creating and learning. Covering three different topic areas, Workshops run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. All you need to bring is a paint shirt to protect your clothing - all other equipment, materiaand lunch are supplied.

Operation Art Industry Workshop
27 March Art Gallery of NSW 9:30am - 3:30pm
Explore the Operation Art and ART EXPRESS exhibitions, showcasing outstanding examples of art works created by NSW school students in Years K-12.
Engage in an Art Box program session with the gallery’s children’s guides, and a behind the scenes session in the National Art Archive.
Experience current exhibition Heaven and Earth in Chinese art: Treasures from the National Palace Museum, Taipei.
Participate in artist led workshops with:
Mollie Rice, a performative drawing artist with a background in Early Childhood and Primary School Education and
Chris Dolman, working in 2D and 3D art forms. Chris is a leader in access programs exploring sensory learning.

As part of The Arts Unit's support of the Department of Education Rural and Remote Education blueprint for action, we are excited to be able to offer a Participation Subsidy of $100 to teachers from rural and remote schools to attend the Operation Art Visual Arts Workshops. To request a subsidy please email us here. email@example.com. Please note: If interest exceeds available funds, allocation of the Participation Subsidy will be prioritised based on remoteness.Subsidies will be confirmed with acceptance notification.
