CATHERINE GILHOLME: The Disability Dance Student Workshops are specifically designed to give students with disabilities the opportunity to explore, discover and reach new physical limits while expressing themselves in dance.

These workshops are suitable for students aged from 10 - 18 years and all disabilities are catered for.
Workshops will be held in a variety of locations throughout Metropolitan Sydney and regional areas of NSW.

During this one day workshop, students and teachers will look at new forms of physical expression, whilst getting in tune with their musicality and perfecting their dance moves. Teachers attending the workshop can attribute 4 hours of Teacher Identified Professional Learning for standards 1.5, 4.1 and 6.3.

For other Professional Development opportunities for designing inclusive dance programs, check our website for more information.

The Disability Dance Program runs in Term 3.

Schools who are interested in hosting a workshop need to contact one of our Arts Initiatives team.

Applications can be made on our Arts Unit website, under dance programs, disability dance workshops. Applications open Term 1 so book now to secure your place. Looking forward to seeing you at a workshop.
