Drama teacher professional development

Activity for this program is cancelled to support efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

All programs have to adhere to current DoE COVID-19 restrictions


Drama Teacher Mentoring Program

both primary and secondary teachers with a passion for being involved in drama events
such as festivals and camps.

Frantic Assembly masterclasses
In 2019 The Arts Unit in partnership with Drama NSW were thrilled to be presenting a series
ofteachers mentoring together teacher professional development workshops around the state with award winning UK company Frantic Assembly.
 

Advanced drama warm-ups
Run in partnership with Drama NSW , The Arts Unit launched a new teacherImage of students in a circle being led by a teacher in a clapping warm up game

The Arts Unit in partnership with Drama NSW were pleased to offer the
popular professional development opportunity in 2018.
 


 

Devising Theatre WorkshopViewpoints and composition teacher training
In 2018 the Department of Education in partnership with Drama NSW launched an exciting teacher professional development opportunity for composition.
 

 

 

 

The following opportunities were available to teachers in public schools. Accreditation with the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW was available for most courses and programs. Registration was available thought MyPL.

Run in partnership with Monkey Baa Theatre Company equipped primary teachers with strategies which can be used to engage students across the entire curriculum.
