The Arts Unit has a range of resources available for teachers, students and Community groups:
Instrument Hire
The Arts Unit has a large collection of instruments available for hire to Public Schools and to parents with children attending Public schools.
Print Music Hire
The Arts Unit has a large collection of print music for hire. Such as orchestral, concert band, choral and stage band music appropriate for a wide range of abilities, available to public schools, non-government schools and community users.
Instrumental Music Starter Kits
The Arts Unit will supply a limited number of instrumental music starter kits to schools throughout NSW to help establish new instrumental music ensemble programs. The kits - wind bands or string orchestras - will consist of complete sets of musical instruments, music stands and appropriate sheet music.
Principals are encouraged to consult with colleagues whose schools have successful instrumental music ensemble programs during the preparation of an application. Recommendations can be made by Arts Coordination Officers from local Educational Services Teams.
