Entry in this competition is open to NSW government and non-government secondary students who were aged between 15 and 18 years old (inclusive) on 1 January 2018. The deadline for submitting entries in this year's competition has now passed. It may still be possible to submit a late entry, so please call the Speaking Competitions Officer on (02) 8512 1172 if you need to discuss that or anything else about the competition.
Please note that entry fees are $28.00 (including GST) per government school student and $56.00 (including GST) per non-government school student. The fees will be debited from government school accounts in due course using the Sundry Tax Invoice Statement process, so please advise the relevant person in your school's office that this will occur. Offices at non-government schools will receive a tax invoice from the NSW Department of Education once entries close. Finally note that schools submitting an entry form must pay the fee even if they subsequently withdraw from the competition.
