Teacher Professional Learning

The following opportunities are available to teachers in public schools. Accreditation with the Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards NSW is available for most courses/workshops. Registration is available through MyPL.

PD Day for choral teachers with Deke Sharon

The Arts Unit is very excited to announce that we will be holding a one day professional development day for teachers with the highly acclaimed creative force behind the Pitch Perfect phenomenon - Deke Sharon. This professional development day will be a registered course with the NSW Institute of Teachers.

State Music Camp

Professional learning for music teachers is available through attendance at the NSW State Music Camp. Teachers wanting to enhance their music teaching skills will benefit from tuition from professional musicians and staff from The Arts Unit.

Teacher Development Opportunity - Schools Spectacular 

Teachers who are interested in being a part of the team that brings the musical aspect of the Schools Spectacular to life are encouraged to apply for a position on the Music team.

Music: Count Us In 2017 - Workshop and Webinar 

On Tuesday 10 October 2017, The Arts Unit will run the Music: Count Us In workshop and webinar. Teachers can attend in person or online via the webinar to learn the 2017 song 'Shine Together', network with colleagues, and learn new skills in encouraging healthy singing in the classroom, in choral conducting and in how to effectively teach and extend 'Shine Together'.
