NSW Public Schools D'Arts Disability Dance Workshops

Applications for the 2019 D'Arts Disability Dance Workshops have now CLOSED.

Keep an eye out for upcoming workshops in 2020,
on The Arts Unit website or on our Facebook page!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This half day workshop, hosted by public schools across NSW, is designed to give students with disability the opportunity to explore dance and reach new physical limits whilst engaging with teachers and students from other schools.

Teachers are able to choose whether to bring a group or individual students with them to the workshop. Junior workshops best suit students aged 10-13 years old; senior workshops best suit students aged 14-18 years old.

Whilst the students look at new forms of physical expression and are perfecting their dance moves, teachers will learn and practise strategies to take back and use in the classroom. For more information on our Registered Teacher Professional Learning program ('Teaching Inclusive Dance' course) please click the link. The teacher workshop complements the student workshop; you may elect to attend the TPL workshop, the student workshop or both.
