NSW Public Schools State "Weekly" Dance Ensembles
The State "Weekly" Dance Ensembles program aims to foster the development of talented students from Years 4-12 in dance from public schools across NSW. Students train and rehearse dance works after school hours during school term at AMPA The Village in Alexandria. Students then go on to perform at the State Dance Festival in September at the Seymour Centre and Schools Spectacular in November at Qudos Bank Arena.

NSW Public Schools State "Non-Metro/Regional" Dance Ensembles
The State "Non-Metro/Regional" Dance Ensembles program provides tuition and performance experiences which complement and extend individual school and regional dance ensembles programs. The program is open to students from Years 7-12 in public schools from across NSW who CANNOT attend weekly rehearsals in Sydney. Students train and rehearse dance works during 4 weekend workshops held in Sydney. Students then go on to perform at the State Dance Festival in September at the Seymour Centre and Schools Spectacular in November at Qudos Bank Arena.

NSW Public Schools Aboriginal Dance Company
The Aboriginal Dance Company was formed in 2011 with the aim of developing the dance skills and cultural awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the style of contemporary Indigenous dance. Since then, it has grown exponentially, engaging nearly 1,000 students in recent workshops. The initiative is a partnership with the world renowned Australian dance company Bangarra Dance Theatre, enabling students to work with leading dancers and choreographers to recreate works from Bangarra Dance Theatre’s repertoire.
NSW Public Schools Urban Dance Crew
The Urban Dance Crew is comprised of boys from Years 9-12 who excel in the dance style of hip hop. Working with outstanding industry professionals, the students were auditioned through the Schools Spectacular Featured Dancer auditions. The boys from the Urban Dance Crew represent some of the best up-and-coming talent in the style of street dance.

Regional and Sydney workshops are also held for boys in Yrs 6-8.
