The Plain English Speaking Award has been providing a platform for senior students to speak up about the issues important to them since 1978. Speakers deliver a prepared speech of 8 minutes and a 3-minute impromptu. In 2020, the competition went virtual, with speakers from all over the state delivering their ideas over Zoom.
