Is your school prepared to host a regional final? Regional finals can be held in school halls, libraries or double rooms. On average regional finals allow for 30-40 children plus families and teachers to a total of 50-70 pax for each section. They begin at 9.30am and run until approx. 2.30pm. The Arts Unit offers relief payment of $442, covering the coordinating teacher-relief. TAU also supplies a modest catering allowance of $108 for school to provide cut lunch to visiting announcer/scorer and morning/afternoon snacks for students and guests: tea, coffee, juice and biscuits, for example. The Arts Unit will supply all wordlists and score-sheets as well as an announcer. This year, for the first time, we are pleased to include as a gift to host schools, a 5-month, school-wide subscription to Macquarie Online Dictionary and Thesaurus as well as a set of their new 3-6 Spelling Workbooks.
Official word lists for the Premier's Spelling Bee are provided by, and remain the property of Macquarie Dictionary. The wordlists and password are not to be published on the school’s website, applications or other electronic distribution methods. Further details on how to distribute the lists will be supplied on the confirmation of enrolment. By submitting this form, I acknowledge that the school principal supports the school's entry into the Premier's Spelling Bee and that the school will adhere to the copyright restrictions associated with the distribution of the official word lists.
