The Plain English Speaking Award is open to NSW government and non-government secondary students who are aged between 15 and 18 years old (inclusive) on 1 January 2017. The deadline for submitting online entries in this year's competition has now passed. Entry may still be possible - please contact the Speaking Competitions Officer on (02) 8512 1172 if you need to discuss entry in this competition.
Entry fees for the award are $28.00 (including GST) per government school student and $56.00 (including GST) per non-government school student. The fees will be debited from government school accounts in due course using the Sundry Tax Invoice process, so please advise the relevant person in your school's office that this will occur. Non-government schools will receive an email with payment advice and a tax invoice. Finally note that schools submitting an entry form must pay the appropriate fee, even where they subsequently withdraw from the competition.
